"I know you see your dad! I know you see your dad in there!"
I can’t breathe, so I read scripture to pass the time until the COVID clears up. I stopped writing way before Saturday, when I couldn’t keep it together during your 21-Gun Salute. I had one tissue for the whole service, and it disintegrated into my eyelashes. I broke down when your honor flag was presented, the same way I broke down when I saw you in a hospice bed, and my mother smothered me, saying, “I know you see your dad! I know you see your dad in there!” 2 Timothy 3:16: “All Scripture is God-breathed…” God-breathed. All of us, even God Himself, need breath to expire and come back 'round again-- like droplets of viral spittle on the screen on a computer. God-breathed, or, in Hebrew: rauch or, in Greek: theopneustos When we take our last breath, we also take our first.
